About me
My name is Kyle Messenger, I am currently 12 years old and live in the UK with my parents and my two brothers. I enjoy school, learning new things and sports
I have a passion for many sports and have proudly represented my schools, in aquathon, swimming, hockey, rugby, cricket, football and cross country. I was awarded a scholarship in sports for cricket and football in Lancashire last year, however it was not possible to go.
I have played cricket at district level and still representing my team in the county cup. I love all sports but football is the one I enjoy the most and have been successful in each team I have played in.
The Beginning
2017, at just 7 years of age, I got my first promotion. From playing in my back garden I joined Great Bentley Under 9s, playing 1 year above where I should be.
In my debut season, my goals helped the club in securing the Dragons Cup. The final went to penalties and I scored the winning goal to bring home the cup for Great Bentley.
In August of the same year, still age 7, I played a pre season tournament for the under 9s. I only went to watch my brother play, but a team needed an extra player, I found myself changing at the side of the pitch into a new team strip.
I loved the challenge and scored every goal in the tournament for the team to reach the finals. The coach made me captain for the final and I proudly stepped onto the pitch for the game.
Sadly, it was not a fairytale ending and we lost on penalties., but still loved every minute I played and felt great. Scoring every goal and captaining a team I had never played with before was awesome.
The Journey
2018, at the the age of 8 I signed for Great Bentley under 8s. I was made captain of this new team, and for the next 5 years, I was top goal scorer in the FA league.
Starting in League C, we gained promotion to League B, then reached League A after that.
2020 I became part of SCS Academy team
March 2023 I became part of FITC Academy team playing in the Junior Premier League (JPL) scoring 11 goals in just 5 appearances. Springfield FC
